About this pass

Nufenen Pass (Italian: Passo della Novena, German: Nufenenpass) is the second highest mountain pass, after Umbrail Pass, with a paved road in Switzerland[2], at an elevation of 2,478 metres. It lies between the summits of Pizzo Gallina (north) and the Nufenenstock (south). The road opened to motor vehicle traffic in September 1969.[3]

Buy your lunch in the morning and eat it at stop 3 for a lunch with an amazing view! the road is amazing to drive, its quiet and overal just fantastic!

I sat here with some bread and ham for a nice lunch with a view. I higly recommend to stop here. Plenty of parking spots and that great view of the alps.
