Best visited early morning to avoid traffic
The eastern side has 48 hairpin bends — spectacular but busy

My notes

This is an amazing pass to drive but last few years its been very busy. Everyone seems to want to drive this. Most people will drive up from the east side but do not know the other side. You also might want to combine this with a step into Switserland by driving down the much quieter Umbrail Pass.
